Highly nutritious pasture-raised chicken livers (Northwind Farm) and yellow onions are sauteed in pastured pork lard with Himalayan pink salt, a touch of brandy (gluten-free), and organic aromatic spices (black pepper, coriander, cloves, and allspice), then cooled and pureed with local pastured ghee. The high vitamin A content of the liver is balanced and complemented by the high vitamin D content of the lard which is why we use this traditional fat. Packaged in 4-oz glass jars. Once opened, flavor is best within 3 days. Pate will arrive frozen; thaw in refrigerator when needed.
